Kurukshetra - The Land of Bhagavad-Gita
In Kurukshetra at a spot called "Jyotisar", Lord Krishna spoke Bhagavad-Gita. There is an ancient Banyan tree at this spot which has been the epitome of this most important event. Kurukshetra has been a holy place since Satya Yuga. Thus, many transcendental pastimes have taken place there. Most important is that Lord Krishna spoke Bhagavad Gita to Arjuna. Lord Krishna also met with the residents of Vrindavana at Kurukshetra during the solar eclipse after a long absence from their lives.
